Kitten Conquest was my First-year game. It was developed by me along with a group of other talented students with the aim of creating a cute game for younger audiences.
Working on this game begin to give me a better understanding of what things go into making a game. I found that I particularly liked the worldbuilding and developing the rules with in it.
My main responsibilities were paper prototyping, this was my first experience doing this and it taught me how important it is to do so. The game before I did this was going to have a darker more D and D feel to it. However, it was clear that this would not work so it was changed and over several iterations it became the game it is now.
I was also in charge of developing the rule set for the NPCs and the overall game. Again, this was my first experience of doing this and it open my eyes to an area of game design I never thought I would enjoy…turns out I do so much so that most of my future projects have me doing this to some extent.
