My current project is developing a 1920s themed murder mystery game for 3rd year.

Investigating a murder in the historical Tremough House in Cornwall. Throughout the investigation the mundane and mythological will blend to reveal there is more to the world than the detective once thought. Exploring the under exposed Cornish subset of Celtic mythology and linking this along with traditional culture of the area and the house, where the studio is based into the game. With an isometric view and point and click movement in the style of the Diablo games we aim to bring new life to this style of game.

As this is a small team with a limited number of specialisations I have found myself branching out and working on other areas including writing and sound. I am finding that even though I am not the best writer I do enjoy it and it allows me to feel more in touch with the characters in the game. The same can be said for sound design.

One of the areas I was able to focus on was building a story plan showing all the players narrative choices. This gave me a deeper understanding of plot development.
